Summary :
The ask for facial rejuvenation is variable in it's ground and goals. Based on the study of 340 procedures realised between 2003 and 2011 we have listed the different modalities we have used and tried to justify them according to their respective advantages and drawbacks. For a part of the files (15%) a limited surgery was indicated. Elsewhere (85%) a more extensive surgery was used; either classical (2/3, 190 cases) with a SMAS dissection or more radical (1/3, 100 cases) with a subperiosteal approach and a combined forehead lift. The patients were here the oldest with the most important signs of ageing in the peri orbital area. For concluding, we have to note that there is none universal solution and the best technique seems to be the one that can offer the closest results to the patient's wishes. It appears therefore necessary to have a surgical background as wide as possible.
